So far this has works great for tig welding some stainless and other thin metals for my VW projects. Have not used it on anything thicker than .125
Yet. Lots of adjustments for the thin gauge metal though..

Does everything that's in the description, and very well I might add.dc so doesn't do aluminum, but for what I purchased it for, it's great,liked it well enough I purchased the extended warranty

Quite surprised how well it works for the price. The torch head lacks a bit to be desired. Works very well. Absolutely recommend.

HZXVOGEN has brought another great up-to-date welding product to the market at a very affordable price. This TIG200P has the latest TIG technology, including a Torch with control adjustments, full DC TIG operating parametric adjustments, Spot mode and even Pulse mode in a very small package. Don't let the size fool you though, it is a very capable TIG Welder and of course it also does Stick. I also own the HZXVOGEN HBM2280 Multi-process welder, which I use mostly for MIG and I really like the easy Set-up it has with the LCD screen. But now that I have the TIG200P I can have them both set-up and ready to go ... You have to have a separate 100% Argon tank anyways, so at the price and capability of the TIG200P, it's pretty easy to justify having a separate TIG welder. And they still take up a small space in my ever growing DIY fabrication shop. (Picture attached)
Here are the Highlights of this HZXVOGEN TIG200P
- Arrived with everything that was pictured in the HZXVOGEN listing.
- HZXVOGEN utilizes very high quality components and manufacturing.
- Adjustable TIG Torch and set-up parameters allows new to TIG Welding people, like myself, to learn how the "finesse" of TIG welding works ... Great to be able to set-up Pre and Post Gas flow, ramp up and down Current and the Torch buttons can even adjust the Up and Down peak Current, so you do not have to go back over to the Power Unit.
- I find the "Spot" operation mode really great for tacking tender lighter metal projects. Seems like a mode that is found on more expensive TIG welders.
- The Pulse mode is new to me to operate and I am looking forward to fully utilizing this feature. So far it is easy to set-up.
- The included manual is usable and a good background on the product. It would be good if HZXVOGEN would provide specifications and use in both Metric and standard as the North American Market is a Dual standard territory. You can spend a bunch of time doing conversion from Metric to Standard and double checking the results. This was also true for the HBM2280 LCD Display which is only Metric.
Overall, I find the HZXVOGEN TIG220P to be well worth the price and helps make learning and fabricating with TIG welding gratifying and fun.
As everyone knows, welding takes lots of practice and its also great that it does not have to be too expensive ... I will post more as I learn more.
